I have never understood the ID argument. Either there is a god and he/she is responsible for everything or there isn’t. I would assume that if you believe in god, then you would also support intelligent gravity, intelligent nuclear forces, intelligent entropy, intelligent thermodynamics…. you get my point. No of which changes the basic principles of how it works…..

Anyway, I thought originally that this was a movie challenging the hostility towards people who believed in god in academia (IE who argue that darwin’s theory doesn’t disprove the existence of god), but apparently I was wrong.

I’ve learned that probably the only phrase in all the interwebs that you can trust 100% of the time is “no need to see this” or some derived warning of that nature.

Never in all the times where I clicked that link and saw the picture have I thought “Well, Mr. Interwebs…I totally did need to see this!”

This hard lesson has made my time in the Wild West areas of the interwebs so much less shocking and nightmarish.

I’ve never had the feeling my “vote counted” in RI or MA, yet even in very democratic Hawaii when I voted last Thurs the weight of the idea that everyone gets one vote and the President is always elected by a group of “one vote”s hit home.

I mean they called Hawaii at 6pm along with CA and the others literally the minute our polls closed before 1 precinct had reported. There was never any doubt, but I was still a part of this.

Huffington Post is leading with a slideshow of people celebrating all over the world. So dope that in one day we’ve returned to being the land of opportunity, freedom, and hope all over the world. The work’s still left to be done, but what he represents is off the charts groovy.

What is there to say that everyone doesn’t already know? McCain’s an awful candidate, Obama’s not Jesus but has as decent a shot as anyone at being Paul, and people are tribe-identified chimps but we make music and have walked on the moon, so we’ve got that going for us.

Maybe that post about space marines. That could be a good one.
