Not that I'd know the members of Built to Spill if they mugged me in a parking lot at night, but I don't think it's the band in the video. Just some people. I could, as always, be wrong. The reason I love the video is because it's about a guy who is very good at what he does, and very serious about it, and loves it enough to teach it to other people, and that expertise just happens to tend toward Medieval European martial disciplines. The video portrays him without an ounce of mockery or ironic distance - in fact, I'd say it completely buys into his own enthusiasm and seriousness, and that makes me happy. Plus I like the song.
