Sounds like the Democratic party I know.  Of course, as Digby, again, says:

This is why I hate both senators from New York, one of the senators from Connecticut (guess which), and have no hope for either of the senators from Massachusetts.  They’re the worst sort of Democrats, interested only in how they can win without upsetting anyone.
